Hi,
So I'm having problems getting a solid pedal on my friends '54 100-4. The
main thing that is messing with my head is this: when I adjust the brakes up
as close to the drums as I can, I get a weird problem. When I turn the drum
with my hands, it binds on the shoes, but not during the full turn of he
drum. It just seems to me that if you adjust the shoes so they are just
skimming
the drum, it should skim like that all the way as you turn the drum through
3600, right? When I turn the drums (any of them) with my hands, in some
parts
of the 3600 turn, it will spin freely with the drum making no contact with
the shoes, but in other parts, I can barely turn the drum with my full
strength. I've had one drum turned, so I know at least that one is round,
but, same
problem at all wheels. What am I missing?
SO confused!
