Hi Mark:
I don't think 1/5 is critical as long as the engine is trying to
accelerate at the moment it shifts. Actually I set my OD throttle switch so
it kicks out with just a tap of the gas pedal (maybe 1/10 throttle).
Dropout is instantaneous and always smooth.
Maybe you should wait until you get the car on the road before making the
final adjustment.
