G'day
This is the thirds time I have tried to send something to the list
today. The last two times had the odd bxxxxy or two but a go at the
Fxxxxh. So perhaps if I were to leave those things out and just include
the Healey bit it might get through?????
So here goes:-------
Besides being a good friend of DMH himself, one of the reasons why Roger
Menadue was the first employee of the DHMC was that he brought with him
a huge supply of aircraft quality nuts, bolts and other fasteners from
when he was in the Royal Air Force during WW2. Even during the
hostilities the RAF only used a fastener once when repairing aircraft.
Roger being a bit of a beaver keep everything as it would no doubt come
in use one day.
They certainly did and you just have to look at the early Healey cars to
see that.
Now let's see.

John -
When I restored my BJ8 20 years ago I used several surplus C-130 (Air
America) aluminum bolts... best damned bolts made, and very very light!
If I had a choice I'd build the whole car with them.
Cheers,
Alan
