I once used the front generator mount as the point of attachment for the 
chain and it promptly broke!  Luckily the engine was just starting to lift, 
or it would have been a large disaster.  The generator mount is cast, and 
can't take a pull at an angle.  Better to use a bolt or stud that goes 
directly into the block.
