Pertronix & Negative Earth

I am in the process of converting my car to negative earth.



It currently has a positive earth Pertronix unit.



I would have assumed that a simply rewiring of the Pertronix unit would have
made it fine for negative earth.  Apparently this is not so..does anybody
have any experience with this?
