I have yet to have aproblem--having subscribed to both club magazines for
the past 10 years.
EAA Vintage Airplane mitigates the problem by adding a realtively thick
white "dustcover" to their mag; it is stapled as part of the binding. It
has their banner on it--printed in black--and also has the mailing label.
The "dust cover" portion can be removed easily, thus sanitizing the mag.
An additional benefit of a protective outer binding is that there is less
chance of inadvertant cover damage--like around liquids: rain, kitchen,
bathroom, pets, etc.
The additional cost could be offset by eliminating those portions of the
Healy mag ---sorry, Kate--of dubious Healey value.
But, if it is not a widespread problem, a simple talk to the local
Postmaster should solve it.
