Thanks Michael (and others!)

I'm sure I can weasel my (almost 70-yr old) body into the car ONCE and
simply drive it outside - MOVING it is not a big issue - working on the
handle, when the car is tucked away, is the rub!

Obviously, when I put it back at night (now that I know the door IS
buggered) I'll need to see that it does NOT shut again, until I have fixed
the handle problem.
