That's definitely not necessary.  Just put in a steel Le Mans-Style
head gasket on the engine and it will stop the leak.... at least
that's what I've had several people tell me.  Healey specialist parts
suppliers will have this head gasket, but it is expensive.  Upside of
the cost, however, is that it is re-usable.
