NED SMITH ... l have not read any ansewer that says ... CHECK YOUR BULB ...
if that is OK then turn on the ignition , remove F wire at generator ( SMALL
WIRE ) and touch it to ground , this should turn on your ign. light , if it
does
not check bulb contacts ...
The ignition bulb is in parallel with the cut-out contacts , when the
contacts close the bulb goes out ... the bulb going out does not tell you the
battery is receiving a charge only an ammeter will tell you that , see A/H
Magazine Nov. 1997 and pages 170 & 209 in my Tech Talk book
l f your lgn. light does not go out or comes on while driving check
if you have lost your fan belt
and use an ammeter to see if you generator is covering the load of lights
etc. Norman Nock
