Bonnet Seal

My BJ8 seems to be quite different from photos and the parts manual when it
comes to the "bonnet surround seal" I have two pieces of plastic edge trim
most of the way around the engine compartment opening. There are buffers at
the forward ends of the trim but no buffers near the windshield. Probably a
PO mod?

 

The buffers that are there are riveted through one leg only. Is that right?
