Hi Ron,
Gosh, I was away from the keyboard for 24 hours and what a lot of traffic!!

I don't have a good picture of that area on your series of seat cushion. 
However, I would point out that you may find you need that 1 1/2" at the 
back of the cushion to provide adequate clearance for the seat back when it 
all fits together as a final assembly.
I would try to temporarily assemble the components together and see what 
your clearances are when the seat back and its foam is fitted too. Usually 
with a new installation there is a bit of a "fighting fit" in that area.
Check it out and let me know.
