ID clear (dark red orange now with 42 yrs) plastic elbows with 1" x 1 1/4"
legs with internal springs at the corners.  There is a photo of a tri-carb on
p.87 of Anderson-Moment which looks like it has these elbows.  I'm trying to
determine what is "correct" for my cars.  Are these available?

I thought that the tricarb was the only car with the clear elbows with the
springs in them, on the drains for the float chambers, but I could be wrong.
The book clearly shows a black tube connected to the lid on the float chamber,
in the BJ7 pictures. --However, the text says that the tube on the BJ7 drain
tubes had a spring stiffener in them--but does not say it was clear, as it
does in describing the tricarbs. (HS4 carbs) This would be a good question for
Rich C. I cannot give you a definitive answer.
