Can someone on the list help with this question?

What type of elbow fitting, if any, do your carb float bowl overflow tubes
have on them where they attach to the brass overflow tubes. Mine were 3/16"
ID clear (dark red orange now with 42 yrs) plastic elbows with 1" x 1 1/4"
legs with internal springs at the corners. There is a photo of a tri-carb on
p.87 of Anderson-Moment which looks like it has these elbows. I'm trying to
determine what is "correct" for my cars. Are these available?

I thought that the tricarb was the only car with the clear elbows with the
springs in them, on the drains for the float chambers, but I could be wrong.
The book clearly shows a black tube connected to the lid on the float chamber,
in the BJ7 pictures. --However, the text says that the tube on the BJ7 drain
tubes had a spring stiffener in them--but does not say it was clear, as it
does in describing the tricarbs. (HS4 carbs) This would be a good question for
Rich C. I cannot give you a definitive answer.
On the choke cables. Hope that helps, Dave J.
