  Thanks for the update. I guess your car must have originally been yellow
  over black as the Primrose yellow cars had black seats with yellow
  piping, which are more common of course. I suspect some cars got
  restored this way because the black seat covers are available whereas I
  don't think anyone sells the yellow ones!
  If I was restoring  a car from scratch that's certainly a colour scheme
  Id seriously consider.

  I once owned a BN4 which had originally been primrose and maybe even
  primrose over black. The shreds of the original interior were indeed
  yellow
  with black piping. the dash was also originally yellow. I agree the
  combination must have been spectacular.
