Kurt, I've used lead additives for years and never had a float needle problem.

Thanks to all for response to float leak problem. Fuel filter was
installed during resto between tank and pump, floats cleaned and re-adj.
all seems o.k. for the time being. I replaced float needles with rubber
tip, and seats. I am however using lead add. to fuel would this
contribute to float needle problem. Kurt
