I have the PL 700 lamps too, ---I would spend a couple extra bucks and order
the halogen bulbs for these lamps..... With the standard bulbs the
illumination is...... not awful, but I'd say marginal.
I've been told that the heat from the bulbs can eventually "blue" the
innermost chrome bits in the tripod, but so far, (one season) mine have
not....

I bought a apir of these headlights about 6-7 years ago. They look great
but--they have no bulbs and no mention on the box of which bulb to use.
Moss
has them listed but I wondered if I could just run down to my regular car
parts supplier and buy them off the shelf?? Anyone know the bulb type?
