Most healey guys seem to argue that putting the whole
thing in at once is easier... but I'm with you.
When I did my BJ8 I put the block in first then the
head on later. I found it much easier to manouver
around and had more confidence in the whole linkage
set up then trying to hoist the engine off of the two
little valve cover bolts....
That engine is heavy!!!!!!!
