I recently bought the June 1953 edition of Auto Sportsman for its article
introducing the AH100 ("the most sensational car that has reached our shores
in many a day...").
Thumbing through the other materials, I ran across a smart shot of the
XK120C(Competition), which a caption "The U.S. dockside price for this limited
production car is $5,860, but it is sold only to drivers or owners who are
consitent competitors." Just imagine.
