Absolutely.  The shafts are the same on both
gearboxes, so the clutch plate is interchangeable.

The only thing that would need to be changed is for
the pegs on the flywheel to be re-aligned from two to
three pegs to take the BJ8 clutch cover.  this can be
done for cheap at any competent machine shop that
surfaces flywheels.

You may also need to sort the throwout bearing to make
sure the gap to the clutch cover is such that it will
work with the mechanical clutch.  I have no experience
here but I'm sure someone on the list does... I doubt
it's a major issue, simply a matter of comparing depth
of the old clutch cover with the new clutch cover, and
comparing depth of old bearing with new bearing. 
Adjusting the clutch pedal rod mechanism probably is
enough to deal with any differences.

the upside?  A much easier clutch to depress, and
better wearing over time (the clutch I have in my BJ8
has over 60k miles on it so far...still working).
