Well, I'm aware of the financial incentives/influence, but  just wouldn't
paint it quite that black. But I concede that it is always there, and you have
to be bright enough to see it and compensate for it.
Too bad though, I thought "Automobile" had a higher level of thought, some
cred, and a more enlightened, less populous oriented point of view than rags
like Motor Trend, etc etc.  But more and more, they seem to cater to the
masses rather than inform them.

  them advertizing revenue from the very same car
  companies.

  To be honest, I find British car mags like Top Gear to
  be willing to print independent opinions regardless of
  their advertizers.  You know the result?  Tob Gear is
  huge in the UK because everyone reads the magazine and
  watches the show... they get plenty of advertizers ...
  independently.

  USA Free press?  Don't let the journlists fool you.
  You want the free press you have to leave the USA
  anymore.
