I have two SLR 576's with date codes on the stanchion for late 1955, apropirate for the 100. Unfortunately, the oriignal reflectors are rusty, and need re-silvering. I have tried gently to persuade the lens to come apart from the reflector, but without luck. Is there a solvent or some other trick (eg., hot water) that does it? I have a source for the silverplating; it's just getting the unit apart that is seemingly impossible without busting them. |
