Todd,Back in the day I could never get the 9.15's under the rear fenders. =
I ran 5.00x8.30x15 on my car. I ran the "W" part number which was not catal=
oged and you had to order them specifically (they were about 1/2" wider - h=
ence the W suffix). Do not know if the 9.15's were available as a W tire so=
you may need to compare yours to others to determine any actual sizing.Any=
way, I just compared a 5.00x8.30x15W to Yokohamas and Hoosiers. The Goodyea=
r was almost as large as a Yoko A008 or Yoko Ao48's. Probably just a bit sh=
orter than either of the 205x60x15 Yokos. The Hoosier Speedsters are a smid=
ge smaller and are about a perfect match for my 5.00x8.30x15W tires.=C2=A0Y=
our Goodyear's are a bit bit larger than mine so the Yokohama Advan AO52's =
205x60x15's would be about a perfect match.
Other tires may be slightly different but the comparable size would be 205x=
60x15. If you want to go to a 50 series tire, will have to check actual mea=
surements...can't help you with those.
I'm tired...Nick of Nor Cal

I'm just curious as to what the size tire he was running back in the 1960's=
. Can anyone translate the 5.50-9.20-15 into today's sizing.
FYI - I'm going with the 185-65-15

Friends,
Curious question:
I have 1 Goodyear Blue Streak tire from when my dad raced my TR3.
Size says 5.50-9.20-15
What size would this be in today's sizing?
Thanks
Todd
