Most of those kinds of projects wind up gathering dust. It=E2=80=99s a =
rare car that actually winds up being better for the surgery. I put a =
Toyota 2TG motor and transmission into a TR3 long ago. It was a more =
driveable car, but every time I opened th hood it just looked lame. That =
was a pretty conservative choice=E2=80=94not overpowered, more reliable, =
about the same weight, better carbs, etc. and a 5 speed =
transmission=E2=80=94but it wasn=E2=80=99t a real improvement, and =
conversions have little value. The jags with V8=E2=80=99s in them are =
probably getting switched back. Valuable with a stock motor, not =
valuable with a V8.=20
