I find I am (was) running a 17 tooth layshaft. The spares I'm laying my hands on are 16 tooth. I know the first gear would be different between the two set ups. Is there any advantage to 16 tooth vs 17 tooth? Seems like 2nd, 3rd and 4th would be the same ratio regardless... Thanks in advance.
