on the dolomite sprint (16V version of that engine, same block), we have
previously machined O rings into the block to solve this problem. Use 0.75mm
MIG wire with 0,25mm protruding.
The real tricks are to make sure the ring is perfectly concentric with the
bore and it sits on the gaskets metal fire ring. If i recall correctly, we
got a gasket specially made with a wider than stock fire ring to allow this
to happen.
