Sorry to hear the bad news. I had arthroscopic knee surgery a couple of
years ago and when I mentioned to the doctor that it seemed to be taking an
awfully long time to heal seeing as how some of the football players have
that type of surgery and are back on the field in a week or two, he not so
subtly told me that I'm not 25 years old and in prime physical condition and
that just may make a difference! It sure did, took months to heal up.

I guess it depends on your definition of bad. The Doc said my knee is coming
along just fine and should be 100 percent--if I don't screw it up before it
heals. The good news is that they were able to repair the meniscus instead
of
cutting it away. The bad news is that it takes much longer for that to
heal--like a couple of months. He basically said racing in July should be
fine, in June--no.
So I'm out for the HMSA Laguna FOT race and Buttonwillow. Should be OK for
the
Northwest Historics if I don't screw anything up.
Tony, no need to bring Peyote to Portland, the next time I'll need it will
be
at Pacific. See you then.
