Hell, I know another Spitfire racer, who shall remain nameless, that made a
"gutter" to run the oil away from his exhaust pipe. Quite a conversation
piece.

I would never do it but I know a guy that races a #49 Blue Spitfire that
made
a chicken wire and an oil absorbent diaper to stop a serious front of the
oil
pan leak. We made the whole weekend with no fires or drips.
