Mike,
You say it "kicks out of overdrive" when you apply the throttle. Does it 
not go back into overdrive when you let off the throttle?  This is what 
I would expect if you have a slipping brake lining.  If it doesn't go 
back into overdrive wouldn't that indicate a leak?  Larry
