I know the feeling. I spent a week working on getting 6 screws out of a
sterring wheel adapter. I was ready to grind them flat and drill 6 new
holes, but I persevered and by drilling progressively larger holes I got the
nasty old steering wheel off and eventually got the screws out with no
damage to the aluminum hub.
I wish I knew the make of the steering wheel. All it says is made in Italy.
The hub is stamped 120. I suppose I could recovet it and use it.
