For what it is worth, you can use the 2.5" coil over type springs (I use
AFCO) in the front of a TR3 if you use the aluminum spacer and shave a
bit off the OD of spacer to accept the ID of the coil over springs. I
have not looked at a TR4 or TR6 front end, but I imagine you could use a
similar setup by using a shorter spring and using a modified spacer as I
did on the 3. It makes for cheap springs and any rate you could
possibly want to use pretty much any length too.
