This is good news. These have been on the market in the past but I
wasn't aware of a current supplier. It's a lot easier the convert the
box without having to use late TR-6 stuff.
FWIW I have always attributed the tophat breakage to excessive
end-float & a marginal design. The tophat is supported (axially) only
by the end of the 3rd gear bush. When the 2nd gear gets to chucking
back & forth there's enough load to crack the tophat at the inside
corner...

The later TR6 gearbox uses a different second gear and an all steel
bush. You aren't the only one to have problems with the top hat.
