Yup. Copper is definately a better conductor of both electricity and
heat, and way stronger than than aluminum with just a little tin in
it. Of course all this talk about galvanic corrosion has very little
to do with our race cars--or at least mine. By the time any radiator
I own corrodes by galvanic action I will have long ago turned it into
scrap whacking a wall (once), or dropped it on a corner taking it out
of a car (twice) or run a crank pulley through it when the harmonic
balancer comes undone (once). Or in the case of the aluminum TR3
radiator I used once, put the radiator cap on without putting my hand
under the extension when I pushed down. I consider them consumables,
like oil and head gaskets.
