fot, i recently modified the head on my tr3 vintage racer to increase the cr.
i took .100" off the thickness and cc'ing calculates a 10.5/1 cr. the problem
is that head gaskets only last about 15 mins. the failure modes are different
: water in the oil, water in the cyl. i'm using the stock composit gaskets. i
do notice that when viewed from the top that that the gasket does protude
somewhat into the combustion chamber. this is only for about 20 degrees and not
more than about 1/8". anyone have any ideas? this could get expensive and it
takes alot of the fun out of the race weekend. thanks, ken m.
