I have built and dynoed (engine) an 89mm engine for my TR3 with 189 HP at the
fywheel. Pop-up pistons, profile 23 cam, big valves and Weber 45DCOE's. With
more work we probably could have gotten more out of it.
Conversely, my current EP legal motor with 87 mm pop-ups (13.6 CR), stock size
valves, profile 23 cam and SU carbs produced 138 HP at the rear wheels. I have
not dynoed it with the profile 24 cam that is in it now.
Fortunately, my lap times have not, however, gone down with the lower power.

Sounds good to me. Could I have one of those please? Last time I dynoed
Peyote it was about .020" thicker on the head (my pushrod-side flange looks
like a stocker), had a different cam (an Erson) and didn't have those
festive dings in the exhaust manifold that I picked up at Road Atlanta (that
will teach me to hot-coat my exhaust: never a ding in five years when it had
peeling silver paint on it).
I dug up the dyno sheet last night: 132 at the rear wheels.

After a couple of hours of calculations, I came up with 198.1 HP for the
venerable Tractor Engine. :-)
