trailer woes

I found the real reason why my trailer blew a tire last week--just as I
was pulling out to haul down to sonoma (Sear's Point) for the wine country
classic--a shackle was broken allowing the wheels to rub in the well. I
must have temporarily move the shackle back into place when I jacked the
car up to change the tire. But today I got a nice plume of blue smoke as I
started off. I'm getting it welded in the morning--nothing I have will
deal with that thick metal. I need to get a cheap buzz box.
