I believe the sheet metal apron itself is essentially the same for TR2 and
TR3. Differences occur in trim. In the case of your car, the pictures show the
early TR3 grille, which is nearly flush with the front of the opening. The
smaller stamped or diecast (both styles apparently used) TR2 grille was set in
the
REAR of the opening.
