Something is not right in the gearbox, unless you have way more BHP than my car! All the new main ball bearings that the main TR parts houses supply are the sloppy ones (the burnish marks on the side tell a story about the built quality) Also, the later TR6 boxes had taper dog gears and synchro hubs, which cover some wear problems. Does anyone test or modify the spring pressure in the synchro hubs? I do. One needs a free hand for the CB radio, but other uses might come to mind. Hardy |
