Hi Baxter,
I certainly agree with the above statements. After every four race weekends,
I would roll around under the car and change out the rod and main bearings.
Considerable time was spent trying to clean the threads using wire swabs for
my revolver cleaning kit (and later the same type wire probes from auto part
stores), and I am sure the threads were never completely cleaned.
Does your engine builder recommend any particular thread lubricant?
