After 50 + years those connectors are not the cleanest.=C2=A0 I noticed tha=
t the Reverse lights are also not working.=C2=A0 The switch works but the l=
ights are not coming on.=C2=A0 I'm working on cleaning up those connections=

The brake switch works by having an open circuit when the brake pedal is no=
t engaged and closed when the brake pedal moves away from switch.=C2=A0 I c=
an jump this circuit and still no lights.=C2=A0=C2=A0
The reverse lights also go through the hazard switch.=C2=A0=C2=A0
I haven't pulled the hazard switch, but the one from my parts bin has 6 con=
nectors and one loose wire.=C2=A0 The 69/70 wiring diagram has nine pins an=
d the 68 has 5 pins.=C2=A0 Curious to see what's inside.
70 has the plastic connectors vs bullet connectors at the tail lamps. Pull =
the connectors and look for any corrosion or damage.
Also look at the main harness connectors under/near the brake master for an=
y corrosion or damage. I had corrosion in the crimp on my reverse lamps.
Can=E2=80=99t think of anything else except a broken wire which is unlikely=
