1-Shot pinstriping paints are great for that because they stay open (wet) f=
or a while longer. Don't use and solvent to wipe off because it will disso=
lve the high AND low spots. Let it set up but before it dries had just wip=
e it off. Might also try a little wax on the high spot before paint so the=
high spot wipe more easily.

I'd like to fill in the letters here so they really stand out. anyone done
this? have a recommendation?
Maybe black nail polish and then clean the top surface with nail polish
remover?
I have some black fabric paint that I used for another project - maybe wipe
that over it. I think it would clean off pretty easily.
