Wow, snow in San Jose. Amazing.
We used to take the Roadster skiing up to Tahoe all the time when I was a k=
id. Strap the skis to the luggage rack and head up the mountain. I still ha=
ve the tire chains Dad used to have to put on when the passes were bad.

You've probably seen the news that it snowed in San Jose recently. It's sno=
wed maybe 2-3 times in my lifetime here, maybe a few flakes or dusting at t=
he most. Last week Mt. Hamilton got several feet of snow and I really got e=
xcited. Despite road closures I took a chance and headed up in the roadster=
. The peak is about 25miles from my home.

The road up is 130 heading to Livermore/Patterson and it is super twisty. L=
ow-speed stuff, but fun.

My heart's racing as I spot little bits of ice/snow roadside. We just don't=
get this kind of weather here. It usually requires a 5-15hr drive to Tahoe=
to see snow! Sure enough, the snowpack becomes real!

At the summit, it was extremely icy.

Drove down the mountain thinking I MUST take my family back to play in the =
snow, no matter what!

Took the family back just before sunset and it started snowing! Kids loved =
it. Mission accomplished. Roadster reconnaissance achieved.
