First off, Merry Christmas to all!
I owned a 1982 Maxima, and was very fond of that voicebox that spoke to =
me. One time, driving from San Francisco to L.A. I was on fuel fumes =
approaching Bakersfield, with the car repeatedly telling me =E2=80=9CFuel =
level is low, Fuel level is low=E2=80=A6=E2=80=9D over and over. Nice =
female voice. Barely made it to a gas station. It would tell me =E2=80=9CL=
eft door is open=E2=80=9D, =E2=80=9CLights are on=E2=80=9D, etc. It had =
badging on the trunk that stated =E2=80=9CDatsun by Nissan=E2=80=9D. I =
kept that badging when I sold the car around 1998 for an Altima upgrade =
and the badge is now on my 1966 roadster glovebox door. That 1982 Maxima =
was a fine car.
