I bought a crystal clock movement from ebay a while back, small enough
to fit inside the stock clock housing.
Haven't done the conversion yet but I will, I promise:-!
One wrinkle I have noticed already is that the spigots for the hands a
too short so I'll have to extend them somehow with some tiny brass tubing.
Let me know if you want pics of what I got.
Wasn't very expensive from memory.
And yes, I immediately thought it could be replaced with a BOOST gauge,
hehehehehe!
