I used a utility knife. Score the coating and pull it off.

Subject: [Roadsters] coated brake lines
While building a "new" set of brakes for my 1600, I have managed to save a full
set of front brake lines from one of my part cars. Unfortunately, they are the
coated variety. I would like to clean them up and save them as an emergency
back up set (I put NOS lines on the brake set-up I built today).
What is the best and/or easiest way to get this coating of the hard lines? I
briefly tried a utility knife but didn't try to hard as I don't want to do
damage.
TIA
Tim
