The model number should be easy. There is a flat area between the jet cover
and the front of the carb that should have something like
40 DCOE 18
stamped into it. The 40, or 45, or 42 or whatever is the size of the
bore, measured
at the manifold end of the carb, not the air intake. The DCOE is the
model, which
stands for something like dual choke horizontal xxx, I can't remember
the exact
Italian, and the 18 or whatever specifies some other parameters like the
progression
circuit type.
Offhand I don't know of any good tuning web sites, I rely on my years of
experience. Are you having problems, or just want to know more?
