Oliver,
If you're talking about the small holes (~3/32), one on each side near the
very top, those were used to secure the top end of the door weatherstrip
using a rivet and pair of small washers. I don't believe they're needed,
though. When I replaced my door weatherstrips, I just glued the rubber over
the holes. Don't seem to miss them.
