Hi Dan and all,
- I am in town but unavailable this week
- next week I will be out of town 7/4-7/11
HOWEVER:
- I have no running roadsters right now
- the race car is now a dedicated track car, with MAYBE short runs to a show
down the street
- the '66 2000 is a non-start and some hydraulics away from driving, maybe
next year on that.
- As the past 30 years, I will be at Road America for the historics weekend
all weekend, spectating only. I will look for Roadsters (as always)
- I do need a good excuse to stretch out the new '60 BMW R60/2 though, and RA
will probably be the first long outing. We'll see from there.
- Barring a direct asteroid hit to Wisconsin, I WILL be racing at Road America
for Fall Vintage VSCDA weekend Sept 10-13. It would be great to see some
Roadsters by a fence somewhere to wave at as I pedal by. My paddock is open!
- I'm really close Bill, I found the well-organized but missing manifold
hardware! Time, time, time. No U20 balancer yet though. Will be stealing it
from the 66-2L.

For any of you who are close, we were thinking of making a strong showing at
the local Quaker Steak and Lube car cruise night here in Madison/middleton.
The show is every thursday night from 5 to 8 until October I believe. You
can
check out their website for more details. I talked to another owner in town
here (Steve Nicks, I don't know if you are on this list yet). He is up for
meeting us there. I believe he is running a 1970 1600 from CA. Bill Wessel
is also up for joining. I believe Bill and Steve are both out of town this
week, but the following (July 9) sounds like it might be a good night. The
QS&L show is mostly (95%) domestics and almost 100% drivers. Even though
they
are imports, people get excited to see our little roadsters there. My car is
in no way great shape, but I get a lot of looks and comments. Anyone in the
area should join. Please send me an email and we can rally the troops. I
will try to get a midwest email list so I can give you all more details of
midwest events.

Anyone up for a trip to Road America? I told Tim I would try to put one
together.
