If you are selling on eBay pay very close attention to requests for
information e-mails you receive from interested bidders.

I recently completed 3 auctions. Since then I have received two requests
for information e-mails that looked for all the world like they were from
eBay, but did not show up on the auction pages. When I tried to log onto
eBay from these e-mail screens my password did not automatically fill in,
which told me something was wrong. I right-clicked on the e-mail and took a
look at the source. There I found an address in Japan rather than eBay, and
another URL in the second e-mail. I did not send any information to either
phisherman.

If you have a decent eBay rating (146 and 100% positive) you may be a target
for people who want your logon and password information so they can run
fraud auctions in your name. From now on I will only respond to questions
from members using the link on the actual auction page itself. Be vigilant
and careful.
