Hi list,
I have tried a few brands too, the most expensive was the least effective,
funny that...
A good one I now use is NULON THROTTLEBODY & CARBY CLEANER.
Comes in a 480gm aerosol spray with a long reach tube attachment.
Australian made and Australian owned.
Not sure if it available in Califunny but worth a try if you see it.
For smaller parts, a good soak in an ultrasonic cleaner is a good bet.
Thes units are now quite cheap via eBay etc.
Mine has two time settings, 180 & 360 sec. but you can repeat the treatment
until the parts are squeaky clean, you can't hurt anything.

Should be getting my G1500 engine back from the workshop end of this month.
It has been a fill in job for the shop, fine up to now but time for
completion.
Head was cracked through #2 valve seats, due to the meltdown it had years
ago.
Has been re-welded and should now be better than new.
Block has had 4 sleeves fitted and is bored to accept original pistons.
Head will be modified to allow me to run on PULP.
I will posts some pics. when I get it all home.

Cold as ?:)+* here in Oz but virtually zero rain, so far.
