My '69 1600 came with brass floats. Lots of them! Most were in a box and some of them still had gas inside of them. First tune up I went to plastic ones that I got from Ross. That was 1996. they are still floating although now that engine is on a stand down at the race barn. I gave up on floats and went with fuel injection. It works well on the KA24E under the hood!
