Another scenario: Some parties accept a deposit, then if the buyer isn't happy
with the car they are allowed to walk away & still get positive feedback. Old
cars always have a a different description based on who is doing the describing.
When you see someone say "this is a legally binding agreement" I think that
is doubtful at best. If one tried to make that stick would it be through the
law of the buyer's state which is often not the same as the sellers state etc.
They just had an interesting discussion about this as a result of someone at a
live auction deciding not to pay. Very little can be done.
